但是，自今年三月份疫情以来，有关会展取消的通告一波接着一波。多处会展中心直接面临缺钱的窘境。美国人的说法是Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong，我们中国人的说法：该倒霉的逃不掉。

疫情以来，美国的会展业损失 3000亿美元，横扫大大小小会展中心。我们佛罗里达奥兰多的会展中心是北美排名第二大，疫情后取消了十几个重大活动， 10亿美元直接蒸发。虽然对 33个会展活动重新规划时间，但疫情无法控制下一切都无法保证。
原来国际娱乐休闲公园协会的会议（ The International Attractions & Amusement Park Association Expo）是安排在今年 11月 17-20号在奥兰多会展中心的，预计参加的人员将达 4万 1千人，但目前仍然不知情况怎样。
除此之外，因为疫情奥兰多会展中心约 6千万美元的扩建工程推迟了，原因是没有资金来源了。
